Les Soirées 100Lux 2019

Seven of Canada’s seasoned urban/street dancers move into uncharted territories as they open their bodies and souls to something that is visceral, personal and imaginative. This program marks Tangente’s first engagement with Axelle Munezero as the founder-curator of the 100Lux dance organization, which is in its seventh year of producing events and activities. These seven short creations include video projections, live music, emcees, deejays, and more, offering evidence of vast and varied visions and movement approaches. At their heart, these performances embody questions about identity and cultural belonging.
