2017 Fundraising Gala

Our fundraising evening along with the Agora de la danse on last April 21 was a success and we want to sincerely thank our donators. Thanks to them, we have collected no less than $68 000!

Thanks to the generous donations, the Wilder will be home all year long to lively and diverse artistic life. By joining together for this event, Agora and Tangente hope to greatly increase the impact of your donations so that the benefits will be injected directly into the creation of new works and into promoting and developing the professional careers of local artists. These funds will allow Tangente and Agora to fully assume their role, which is to showcase and promote emerging choreographers as well as more established artists. They thus contribute to the vitality of Québec dance, which is renowned the world over.

Moreover, a substantial part of the funds raised will be earmarked for the Danse contre la violence project, which presents workshops for women living in shelters for victims of domestic violence. Dance becomes a powerful tool for social reintegration, helping these women to regain control of their bodies and their self-esteem.

In figures : an amount of $68 000 collected , 200 participants, 2 dance shows, 12 performers, 11 corporative donators, 14 sponsors, 2 charitable organizations and tens of artists that will benefit from donations!
